This tutorial shows you how to easily apply presets to any photos in Lightroom mobile app on a Xiaomi device. The app, which has been renamed to Adobe Photoshop Lightroom CC, still has no built-in feature to import .lrtemplate file. Therefore, an alternative method is employed (read: workarounds to use Lightroom mobile presets). This article covers only the steps required to install presets downloaded from XiaomiPhotography.com website.
All presets downloaded from this site is available in Digital Negative Image format (.DNG) containing applicable settings. Using this presets will save your time and speed up your workflow in editing photos. Installing this preset is easy. Simply read and follow this sequence down below.
First, open up a web browser app on your MIUI device and visit the any presets’ download page. This sample uses default Mi Browser.
Next, download the presets file by tapping on the button. You may rename the file you are about to download or otherwise simply tap OK.
Now tap the three lines at the bottom right-hand corner then choose “Manage downloads”.
Make sure the file has been fully downloaded.
Once done, click on the file name.
Then choose “Extract”.
Choose the location of where you are going to extract its content.
Anywhere is ok but make sure you remember its location. Now tap the Extract button.
Wait for the process to finish. This will take seconds.
You will then get a new folder with the same name as the file. Tap on it to enter it.
You will then see the presets file is there.
Now open up Lightroom mobile app.
Wait for a sec till it totally loading.
Now create a new folder and name it “Presets”. This is not a must but it is useful to be organized.
Tap on that folder to enter it. For this example, we create a folder named “Black n White” just to make sure everything is well-organized. You can also create your own.
Click the add image button at the bottom.
Now locate the Preset file. It has to be thumbnail images with “raw” tag. Tap on it to select it.
Tapp the “Add” button to start importing it.
Now open it by tapping on its thumbnail image.
Tap the three dots at the top right-hand corner of the screen.
Choose “Copy Settings“.
Another dialog box will appear. Tap “OK”.
Go back to the main screen of Lightroom.
Then choose the photo you want to edit and to apply the presets on it.
Tap again at the three dots icon on the top right-hand corner of the screen, then choose “Paste Settings“.
And voila! Your photo will have the presets applied.
Easy isn’t it?
